The warehouse where the belt is stored should be cool, dry and ventilated. The sand belt should be placed on the cargo rack, which should not only keep a distance of 200~500mm from the floor and wall, but also avoid approaching the heat dissipation and drainage devices. Try not to open the packing case with unused belt. Do not pile heavy objects on the sandbelt boxes to avoid creases and cracks in the sandbelt. Ideal storage temperature: 18℃~22℃; Ideal storage humidity: 40℃~65℃.

Two, before the use of sand belt treatment

1. Sand belt drying hang

The purpose of hanging is to eliminate the curl caused by the packaging 2 to 5 days prior to use. Hang the disassembled belt on the 100-200mm diameter pipe. The length of the pipe shall be greater than the width of the sand belt and the pipe shall be in a horizontal state.

The ambient temperature and humidity of the suspended belt should meet the storage conditions of the belt. The simplest method is to keep dry in a sealed room with a few 40-watt or 60-watt light bulbs. Dry suspension is the only way to eliminate the belt crease.

2. Appearance inspection

After the suspension of the belt before use should be necessary appearance quality inspection, check whether the belt joint is flat, firm; Whether the surface of the belt is broken, sand, sand, rubber spots, wrinkles; Whether the edge of the sand belt is neat and whether there are cracks, if the edge by small cracks, arc cut off after the use will not affect.

1. Use appropriate belt type

The best grinding performance of the belt can only be achieved by selecting the right type of belt.

2. Choose the appropriate granularity

Only by choosing the appropriate sand belt size can the surface quality of the workpiece be guaranteed and the service life of the sand belt be improved.

3. Grain size selection of multiple belt grinding processes

If a workpiece adopts more than one belt grinding process, the particle size of the belt used in the latter can only skip two particle size compared with the former. Only in this way can the high efficiency of belt grinding be brought into play and the shape and size of the workpiece and the surface quality of the workpiece can be guaranteed.

4. Selection of operation direction of sand belt

When using the lap belt, make the running direction of the belt consistent with the direction marked on the back of the belt. The direction of operation of the belt can be ignored when using the butt joint and waveform belt.

5. Sand belt empty load operation time

After the new belt is put on the machine, it should idle for 1~3 minutes at low speed and high speed, and then grind the workpiece after the belt runs normally.
